David Fielden, Non-Executive Chairman

David is a Chartered Accountant with considerable commercial experience, largely in the financial sector. His previous posts include Vice President, EMEA, American Express; and MD and director of leasing companies for 3i, Lloyds Bank SG Warburg and GE Capital.

Peter McDonnell, Group Managing Director

Peter set up Cordoba in 2002 to bring a new and powerful proposition to HR and resourcing professionals looking for informed advice and practical support.

He has over 25 years' experience in sales and marketing at board level. Former roles include Sales Director for GE Capital BEF, Director of Strategic Development for Blue Arrow, working with blue-chip organisations such as BT, Royal Mail, UBS Warburg, Morgan Stanley Dean Witter, Lloyds TSB Registrars and Centrica.

Billy Rae, Managing Director, Cordoba Consulting

Billy Rae has worked at the most senior levels in Local Government, latterly as Chief Executive of an ALMO, after working as an interim manager at Thurrock Council. For many years he held the position as Assistant Director - Housing & Service Advice at Hammersmith & Fulham Council. 

Billy is a qualified Master Business Coach, specialising in Personal Performance and Corporate and Executive Coaching, and has enjoyed 25 successful years in Local Government!

Julian Woodall, Consultant, Talent Management

Over 20 years experience in management with major companies. He has worked in a range of sectors in both line management and HR roles with companies such as Sainsbury’s, Bass and Alliance and Leicester where he was both Head of HR for the Retail Bank and Head of Training and Development for the group.

Julian has worked on secondment with CAP Gemini Consulting in the area of change management; and at a major Japanese Bank in Tokyo. Julian is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and a member of the Institute of Directors. He is Myers Briggs and SHL qualified.

Jo Bamford, Occupational Psychologist

Jo is an Occupational Psychologist with 10 years lecturing and consulting experience. She uses evidence based research and psychometrics to support the appropriate identification, development and ongoing management of individuals and teams. She is Level A and B qualified in Psychometric Testing. She has senior level experience of coaching and consulting within organisations as diverse as the NHS, Marks and Spencer and major universities.

Diana Hogbin-Mills, Talent Management

Diana has nearly 15 years of business consultancy experience and a background in strategic marketing customer management and market research, with a key focus for understanding employee and customer drivers.  Diana now specializes in the disciplines of talent management and people-based change.  Diana offers her clients the core capabilities of leadership coach, consultant, trainer and facilitator.

A significant proportion of her time is spent coaching and training managers and leaders in media organisations to help them develop their management skills, broaden their leadership competencies and develop their professional careers.  For this, she draws upon her experience of working in an agency environment, her psychology degree, coaching qualifications, and practice with various psychological models of development.

Simon Spindler, Consultant

Simon has been in consulting since 1987, initially involved in assessment, selection and development with Swedish consultancy Mercuri Urval, and then broadening his experience and knowledge with the Hay Group. He has also started two new consultancy organisations from scratch, and now works with a range of clients in coaching, executive development and organisational improvement. Before becoming a consultant, Simon graduated from Cambridge University and spent six years in the international logistics business, in roles in UK and international sales and product management.

Simon has worked on a range of projects with clients in sectors as diverse as transportation, computing, telecoms, finance, scientific research, and leading consumer brands.

Michael Brewer, Senior Consultant, Sales & Marketing

Michael has been a consultant for 20 years, advising at board level on strategic and organisational issues in financial services, telecoms and the public sector, in the UK, Europe and Japan. He has worked as a director and partner at several international and specialist consultancies, with clients including AXA Insurance, BT, Egg, the European Commission, Lloyds TSB, PPP, Royal & SunAlliance and Saga.

Kim Harvey, Consultant, Talent Management

Over 20 years’ experience in both the Public and Private sectors. Kim has worked for the NHS and GE Capital, she specialises in the training and implementation of ‘Change Management Programmes, People and Management Development.

She has worked with many ‘blue chip’ organisations including NHS, Gloucestershire Police Force, Legal & General, National Blood Service and GE Fleet.

Dave Carey, Consultant, Organisation Development

Dave is an enthusiastic and focused consultant with 30 years experience working within the private and public sectors. An Organisation Development professional, he has devised and implemented a number of staff learning and development programmes achieving local and regional awards and national recognition. He is credited in the public sector for bringing an innovative approach Elected Member Development.

Liz Waterworth, Consultant, Change Management and Transition

Liz has 15 years experience in people and organisational development. Recent roles include working on Westminster City Council’s Transformation Programme as Business Change Manager. Liz focuses on the people aspect of change projects – effectively managing the impact on people and delivering targeted organisational benefits. Her capabilities include change workstream design and engaging employees in order to deliver change.

Previously Liz worked in the Graphic Arts industry in the UK and across Europe, she was based in Belgium for six years where she worked as the European Training Manager for a leading hi-tec organisation. Liz is a qualified trainer and has an MSc in Training and Performance Management.

Katy Butcher, Office Manager

Katy joined Cordoba Group as Office Manager in 2006 after completing a Masters degree in music at Royal Holloway, University of London. Her previous experience includes fundraising and development for the Philharmonia Orchestra.

Katy works with and supports project teams as well as providing administrative support for Cordoba Group businesses.
